DORIC PAVILION, 2008

A design exercise in the Doric order, for a pavilion on Notre Dame’s campus.  This Classical type is recognizable for its round column capitals, but also has a distinct system of order that carries through every proportion and detail.  Famous examples are the Parthenon in Athens and the Lincoln Memorial.
